Congratulations To Tyler Aylward for being selected for Swansea City Centre of Excellence Under 11's Squad 2009/2010 and for being retained for the 2010 / 2011 season. It has been a real pleasure to work with you.
The above picture is Tyler on the recent October Half Term soccer course at Pitchside, Fforestfach, Swansea. Tyler was only allowed to attend on Tuesday and Thursday, as he was not training on those days. The shirt he is holding was presented to him from myself and his Parents kindly got the name and no 16 on it for Tyler.
Tyler is and now was a regular on my soccer courses, I saw him as an under 8 and was very impressed by his all round technical ability, his hunger and attitude towards football.
Tyler's story is a refreshing one to all youngsters who have been told, your not quite ready to make our squad, a professional football club, who play in blue up the road, couldn't see the potential in him after two trials, fair play to Adam Atteo and Richard Davies, who kept on telling CCFC how good Tyler was but they didn't want to listen.
Nicola and Gavin Tyler's Parents were very impressed by the way that Swansea City and Gary Elsey and Frankie Burrows ( the coaching staff ) helped Tyler settle in on his trial, he was signed a couple of weeks ago. Tyler has told me that he is very impressed at how skillful his team mates are and I have seen this for myself.
Tyler realises after all of the knockbacks he has had, the real hard work starts now and nothing is guaranteed in football.
Their loss is definitely The Swans gain.
Tyler Good Luck Mate.
Currently within The Swansea City Centre of Development and Excellence, there are over 50 children who have come through Reeco's Soccer Schools, I have an excellent working relationship with Tony Pennock, Tony Avo, Bob Lloyd and John Beale and I will continue to to recommend players who are technically gifted enough to enter The Swans set up.
