Can you imagine not being able to walk, talk, crawl or sit well this is Aidan’s Story by the parents of Aidan Rosser, Chris and Michelle :

We look into Aidan’s eyes, we see so much love, fun and joy, what we also see is something that is telling us as parents to find the answers and make me better!

Aidan might not be able to walk, sit, crawl and communicate, but he has one amazing smile that would brighten up anyone’s day! As a dad i also wonder why, why should Aidan be denied to kick the ball with his brothers, raid the kitchen cupboard with his brothers and sister and run around in the playground,  

I don’t know the answer as a dad and as parents we can only wait and hope that things will progress, but what I find difficult to grasp is the effect it has not only on Aidan but as a family unit, his brothers and sister ask will Aidan get better? Why cant Aidan play football with us? He will get better wont he? As parents we can’t answer those questions!

Aidan needs 24 hour care because of his condition, what makes it worse is none of us know what is a matter with Aidan and we don’t have any family support. As parents it also plays on your mind when you see other children of the same age doing things that Aidan should be doing!

Seating:

Specialist Car seat to help with posture £300

Rain covers and basket  for specialist pram £250

Specialist memory foam budda bag to mold aidans posture and sitting position £460, aidan currently has a flat head due to his lack of movement whilst sleeping, this would position him during sleeping.

The Ziggy therapy aid Ideal to aid support, positioning and comfort £340 plus

Sleeping:

Specialist bed called a dreama helps with posture and reducing sleepless nights £860 (aidan currently has a standard cot and wakes 6 times a night)

Therapy/Fun:

12Ft Trampoline with net enclosure and safety net help with physio sessions and play £175

A bedroom/cabin for Aidan with sensory toys and equipment, with lights like stars in the ceiling for sensory £500 plus

Increased physio sessions, currently aidan has only one a week and no Hydrotherapy anymore, would be great if we could increase this to three a week in 6 week blocks.

Early learning switch operating toys/ball pit (range from £50 plus)

Therapy Wedge specialist supplier £180

Mobility:

Special adapted trike for Aidan to enjoy the outside so he can be pushed along , must have postural support and side supports £1250 on

Sit on ride on toys with support for Aidan for playtime helping him sit and play without falling off £600.

A mobile chair that can be adapted when out and about as a family, £234


Charity Football Match For Aidan v The Swansea City All Stars

I have spoken to Cameron Medwin and Gary Richards who are a managers of The Swansea City All Stars Team and they have said that we can organise a charity football match for Aidan in the new year, so I would like to thank very much for their help. I will organise a team of players who I have always enjoyed watching them play and also I think very highly of and in my humble opinion are really talented players and I know they will put on a very entertaining game to watch against a very good Swansea City All Stars Team.
